APPLYING FOR TISSUE ACCESS:
HOW IT WORKS
CONNECT-TBI brings together a network of nine established research brain tissue archives and supporting expertise.
- We encourage researchers with projects that might benefit from CONNECT-TBI support to contact us at the earliest stage in project planning to review tissue requirements and availability and discuss appropriate protocol design.
- Submit your Tissue Access Application Form to theconnecttbi@gmail.com for review and approval by the CONNECT-TBI Internal Governance Committee.
- Once your application is reviewed, you will be notified of our decision (typically within 10 working days) and, if supported, you will be CONNECTed with the appropriate participating archives to coordinate transfer of required materials for your research project.
WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

Step 1 - Researcher contacts Administrative Core in project planning phase to establish whether suitable resources within CONNECT-TBI networked archive to support their proposal.
Step 2 - Application submitted to Internal Governance Committee (IGC) for approval.
Step 3 - Following project approval by Internal Governance Committee, research materials supplied directly from CONNECT-TBI centers to researcher.
